Niagara Icewine Festival
The Niagara Icewine Festival will be back at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls on January 26th-27th, offering guests the chance to sip and savour different VQA wines and Icewines from more than 15 Niagara wineries, indulge in delicious food pairings created by top Niagara chefs, enjoy live music, and walk through the Convention Centre’s beautiful outdoor Icewine Winter Wonderland.
Niagara Brewing Company has just released their seasonal Niagara Icewine Beer for a limited time, which is available to try on tap or buy in 375ml or 750ml at their brewery on Clifton Hill. The Niagara Icewine Beer combines the complex and sweet flavours of Icewine with the bubbly goodness of beer and is the perfect winter drink for wine and beer lovers alike. The brewery also offers daily live music, a great kitchen menu, and Hoppy Hour $4 beer specials, making it a great place to hang out with friends this winter.
From January 20th-21st, 2018 the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is transformed into an incredible Icewine Village in celebration of Niagara’s world-famous liquid gold. This year, top wineries from Niagara-on-the-Lake will be pouring some of their finest Icewine while renowned Signature Chefs offer up a range of Icewine-inspired culinary creations. Admission to the Icewine Village is free and there are plenty of great shops and restaurants for people to visit along Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Queen Street while in town.
An Icewine Dinner
The 2017/2018 Niagara Culinary Experiences Series features a number of fantastic dinners like A Culinary Tour of Tuscany with Massimo Capra on March 23rd, A Culinary Tour of Veneto with Massimo Capra on May 11th, and An Icewine Dinner with Jamie Kennedy on January 19th. The Icewine Dinner will feature a mix and mingle with Chefs Jamie Kennedy and Jay Jackson, a standing cocktail reception with canapés and pairings, and a 5-course dinner with wine pairings from Jackson-Triggs Winery. Icewine will be expertly woven throughout the menu and the stunning views of the Horseshoe and American Falls from the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows will make for a truly unforgettable Niagara Falls experience.
