Experience a Hotel with History at the Crowne Plaza

The normajeanamericanfalls has a very rich and interesting history that dates back to 1929 when it was the first high-rise hotel to be built in Niagara Falls. When it opened on July 1, 1929 as the General Brock Hotel, it featured eleven floors, a roof garden, and a large grand ballroom. The top floor was known as the Rainbow Room and featured glass windows that offered a spectacular view of the Niagara Falls.

The General Brock Hotel, currently known as the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls-Fallsview, quickly gained a reputation for its world-class elegance and has had many notable guests throughout the years, including Walt Disney, Queen Elizabeth, Bruce Willis, Shirley Temple, and Marilyn Monroe while she was filming “Niagara”.

Today, the Crowne Plaza is still known for its world-class charm and elegance and features the Rainbow Room by Massimo Capra, which is a fine-dining experience that continues to boast one of the most incredible views of Niagara Falls in the city. To experience all of the history and charm, reserve your table.
